The First Fifty
Fifty named people who could hire you, researched, approached and followed up, inside ninety days.
Fifty approaches. Not fifty clients.
Most people leaving a C-suite seat don't need to be taught what good operating work looks like. They need a practice that exists: a positioning they can defend, an offer with a price on it, somewhere for interest to land, and a list of real people to approach.
That's what these ninety days build. You do the work. I make sure it's the right work, and I build the one part you genuinely can't.
What exists at day 90
Seven things, all of them yours, all of them in your control.
- A written positioning decision record
- A priced offer, with an engagement shape and a written no-list
- A live funnel: page, form, capture, notification, keys in your hands
- A target list of fifty, each with a written reason
- Outreach templates in your voice, tested against real responses
- A tracked record of fifty approaches and what came back
- A written plan for days 91 to 180
How it runs
Weeks 1 to 2. Position.
You bring your transfer inventory and three draft offer sentences. We work them, choose one niche, and I write down what you decided so it can't be relitigated in week nine.
Weeks 3 to 4. Package.
You bring your pricing, your engagement shape, and your written list of what you say no to. My job is to find where it won't survive contact with a founder.
Weeks 5 to 6. Build.
You draft the page copy. I build the funnel: page, form, submissions to a sheet, email on every lead. Then we walk it live and I hand you the keys.
Weeks 7 to 12. Approach.
Fifty names with a reason each. We kill the weak entries together, because "good company" isn't a reason. Then the approaches go out, with working sessions on what's coming back: message adjustments, objections, qualifying the responses.
Eight sessions across the ninety days. Every one has an entry ticket: your completed work, submitted twenty-four hours before. No artifact, no session.
Between sessions, unlimited async review. Send an artifact and one specific question. That's deliberate. It caps what I'm carrying and it makes you think before you ask, which is the same skill the fifty conversations need.
Read this before you apply
You will do the work. You just left a seat where you had staff. This asks you to build your own list by hand and send your own messages. That's on purpose. The fifty conversations are the skill the practice runs on, and nobody can acquire it for you.
What I don't do:
- I don't write your positioning, your messages or your list. I mark up yours.
- I don't sit in on your sales calls. Debrief after, yes. Attend, no.
- I don't do your research: not the target list, not prospect background, not market sizing.
One reschedule. After that the session is consumed. I'd rather say that now than in week five.
Why fifty named people
72%
Found their first fractional client through someone in their personal network.
Fractional Jobs, The Fractional Work Report 2026, August 2026. Single source, and the public page does not state the question-level sample.
0.45% to 3.43%
Reply rates across three large cold-email datasets. High-volume emails to strangers, not a planning rate for your fifty.
Belkins, Woodpecker and Instantly, as cited in the CTO/CIO Pack. Single source each.
One path runs through people who already know you. The other runs through strangers' inboxes.
That's why the ninety days go on fifty people you choose by hand, not a campaign.
Who you'd be working with
I ran airline stations and scheduled services in Saskatchewan for ten years. Then twenty years at Navitaire, leaving as COO, and COO of Kambr by Amadeus after that. I've been independent since 2018.
Most of that time I ran delivery. The PMO for 20+ client projects at once. A $30M+ migration across 50+ airline and rail companies. Projects slip in the same few places every time. I've seen most of them.
For these ninety days, my job is to keep your time on the work that gets you in front of buyers.
What it costs
$3,500 while the founding rate is open. It moves to $5,000 once I close it.
The founding rate buys me a written testimonial and the right to describe the work, anonymised if you'd rather. Nothing else changes: same ninety days, same eight sessions, same seven things you own at the end.
After day 90, if you want a month-to-month partner, we decide then. Not now.
I am not selling you a client. Whether someone hires you is the market's call, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something they cannot deliver. What I am selling is that ninety days from now you have a real practice in front of real buyers, instead of a plan you have been rewriting since spring.
