The CMO Pack
The CMO title is crowded. Founders don't buy it. They buy a named problem solved. This pack turns your marketing seat into that offer, with every figure sourced.

What's in the pack
- 24 pages, worked through in two sessions
- Census firm counts for your search bands, with the arithmetic shown, and what the CMO title looks like on a live marketplace

- A fourteen-row inventory of what carries over, what gets rescaled, and what to drop
- The one-sentence offer, with a fill-in structure and three worked examples

- A 23-column tracking sheet spec, a worked row, and two outreach notes
- Three enterprise accomplishments rewritten in founder language, with the evidence to carry
What this is
This pack is for an experienced CMO, marketing VP or senior marketing leader moving out of a corporate role and into fractional work.
The title is crowded. On one marketplace there were about 20 CMO profiles for every CMO posting, and 90% of the practitioners surveyed named client acquisition as their top challenge. So the pack works on the problem you take on: naming it, scoping it, and putting it in front of fifty people who have it.
Why it is built the way it is
Same sourcing standard as the rest of The Working Set. Every market figure carries a mark beside it on the page: verified, single source, or unverified. Where no credible source exists, the gap is stated and the number left out.
There’s no fractional-CMO adoption rate in here you can multiply, because no authoritative one exists. The published rates run from posted marketplace offers to interim retainers, and the pack says which kind of evidence each one is. Where a source doesn’t disclose its sample, the page says so.
What it does not do
It doesn’t build your offer, set your price, or tell you whether a prospect fits. It won’t promise a campaign result or settle a legal question about your marketing claims.
It’s decision support. Not legal, tax or advertising-compliance advice.
Who should not buy it
If you haven’t decided whether to go fractional, or whether CMO is the seat to lead with, start with The Fractional Decision Pack. This one assumes that choice is made.
Who it's for
Experienced CMOs, marketing VPs and senior marketing leaders moving out of a corporate role and into fractional work.
